As an Electrical Engineer, you'll lead electrical design/pneumatic projects for Quest while ensuring on-time completion and appropriate specifications. Utilizing your excellent communication skills and technical experience, you'll develop great internal and external customer relationships and confidence in the solutions you present.   • Lead electrical design/pneumatic projects and ensure they are completed on time and to appropriate specifications.
  • Size and specify electrical and pneumatic components.
  • Create electrical and pneumatic bill of materials for machines.
  • Determine critical system components, evaluate lead times, and find alternative component supplier.
  • Work with controls engineers in designing electrical control systems.
  • Create and update schematics, panel layout, and machine documentation.
  • Assist electrical assembly and the programming department with the startup, testing, and debugging of machines.
  • Verify proper wiring and plumbing of components and assure that the controls standards are followed when requested.
  • Assist at customer site for machine start-up and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Provide support in machine troubleshooting for customers both in the field and on the telephone and updated documentation in the service files as needed.
  • Assist in new and replacement product/component evaluations and improvement.

  • Minimum of 2-year degree in related field or minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical or pneumatic design, packaging experience preferred.
  • Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Ability to read technical journals and vendor literature.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills which includes presentation skill.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Office – Word/Excel)
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for start-up support or to provide machine support on a limited basis.
  • Electrical CAD experience and experience in electrical circuit design.
  • Understanding of safety circuits and category classifications
  • Experience with electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Experience with PLC, operator interface, and servo applications.
  • Understanding of machine controls and mechanical designs.
