Our Client is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 6-9 month Contract position in Fremont, CA.
Responsibilities:
The system is a Sensing + Metrology system used to qualify/measure semiconductor wafers/SoC (huge semiconductor process/capital equipment).
3 stages of the role:
Documentation (primary designs are already completed, and documentation into the database is required.
Must have the experience and desire to do heavy and detailed documentation in computer systems). The Chief Engineer has designed the system, but does not have bandwidth to document the system designed for production. Gather all the knowledge on the design as it stands from the Chief Engineer; must be able to get the Chief's time and input with scheduled meetings, team meetings, and watercooler talks.
Great knowledge-transfer from first prototypes to production intent - required.
Validation (End-of-the-line health & wellness check of systems, SoC (System-on-Chip), Testing, Verification, possible use of LabVIEW or similar tools).
Some hybrid/WFH possible in the design and test system stage for the product.
Design Test Systems (possible use of Matlab, possibly some design work in Cadence, Verilog, Synopsys, or other chip design sw tools).
Great test system design input/engineering off of a frozen product design - required.
CM will be putting the company's test system through production for the first time. Interface with the CM, for purposes of GTM.
Some IP, product documentation, and system schematic may be shared during an in-person interview. Additional details can be shared with candidate under NDA.
Some hybrid/WFH possible in the design and test system stage for the product.
Required Skills:
5-15+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer (BSEE or MSEE).
Ideal combination of Analog AND Digital AND Semiconductor industry experience.
Excellent documentation skills - able to document well in one of the following: PDM, DMS, EDMS, CAD, Database, Client-Shared system.
