- Position: Electrical Engineer
- Location: Columbus Ohio and Pittsburgh
- Position Type: Onsite
Qualifications:
- 8-12 years of experience in the design of electrical systems for institutional and/or commercial building systems
- Active P.E License
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Visual and MS Office software.
- Interpersonal skills beneficial
- RCDD beneficial.
- Experience with any of the following project markets:Higher education,K-12 education,Healthcare,Municipal,Recreation,Commercial,Retail,Mixed-use,Multi-family residential,Light industrial,Warehouse,Military and Electric Vehicle Charging
Responsibilities:
- Electrical design of power distribution, lighting, safety and IT/AV systems for architecture
- Complete construction drawings, calculations, cost estimates and specifications
- Arc-flash and short-circuit coordination studies
- Respond to client questions and comments
- Review contractor submittals and provide clarifications during construction
- Manage, train and mentor electrical engineering / design staff
- Scheduling of staff resources
- Communicate and coordinate with architects, owners, other engineering disciplines, vendors, building officials, other consultants throughout the design phases of the building project
- Manage project budgets and schedules within the contract and client's requirements

- Although we are not a fully work from home office, we do offer flexibility to work from home as needed. We offer flexibility to shift schedules as necessary to accommodate personal or family needs.
- Tec offers eight paid holidays.
- PTO Personal Time Off - variable based on experience. Renews Jan 1 each year. Does not carry over. Up to 40 hours can be reimbursed.
- Relaxed dress code. Non-ripped jeans are acceptable. Dress appropriate for meetings.
- Tec maintain the records for all state licensing requirements and fees associated with keeping them current.
- The past two years Tec has paid mid-year and end of year bonuses. Last year our total bonuses averaged $14,000 per employee.
