Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic design team. The role involves creating electrical cabinet designs for machine orders, providing technical support, guiding new designs, and leading equipment improvements. This position offers exposure to various technologies and industries, contributing to the growth and innovation of our business.
Responsibilities- Create electrical cabinet designs for machine orders based on standards and customer requirements.
- Provide support to customers and service technicians regarding electrical issues.
- Offer guidance on new designs and control and drive components.
- Lead new equipment designs and improvements to current products.
- Oversee electrical design and assembly personnel.
- Plan and implement electrical project assignments in collaboration with department management.
- Assist in estimating manpower requirements, planning, and monitoring work schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Recommend changes in methods, designs, or equipment when necessary.
Essential Skills- Associates degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 2-10 years of working experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD design.
- Experience in designing control panels, electrical schematics, and cabinets.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and related regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Knowledge of Allen Bradley PowerFlex Drive systems and AC motors.
- General programming skills.
- Familiarity with Yaskawa Drive systems.
- Understanding of UL, CSA, NFPA, and OSHA requirements.
- Experience in capital equipment design and manufacturing.
- Experience with AutoCAD Smart Blocks.
Work EnvironmentThis position is based in Florence, KY, with working hours from 8 am to 5 pm, including some overtime. The role is primarily desk-based but requires occasional presence on the manufacturing floor during machine builds. The team consists of three other Electrical Engineers and two co-ops, reporting to the Director of Engineering. Initially, the role requires full-time office presence, with potential for a hybrid schedule.
