We're a leader in ultra-precision machining solutions, is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the specification, design, and validation of advanced ultra-precision diamond turning machines. This role combines technical expertise in electrical engineering with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The Senior Electrical Engineer will play a critical role in driving product innovation, ensuring performance excellence, and meeting customer needs in precision manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization and development of cutting-edge electrical systems for ultra-precision machining equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Machine Safety, EMC, and Low Voltage directives.
- Create and validate panel layouts, schematics, PCB designs, and wire run lists using CAD software.
- Conduct product design reviews and work with marketing, application engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure seamless collaboration across departments to achieve project objectives.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, such as noise, transients, and servo system problems.
- Troubleshoot multi-axis controllers (e.g., PMAC) and other sophisticated electronic equipment.
- Develop clear and comprehensive user manuals and technical documentation for end-users and field technicians.
- Ensure that all systems meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience or Master's degree with 5+ years in Electrical Engineering, focusing on machine control systems and precision manufacturing environments.
- Advanced knowledge of data acquisition, analog/digital signal processing, and control systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or similar.
- Experience with servo systems, multi-axis controllers, and high-precision electronic equipment.
