Job Description:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in power, automation, and control technologies.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all electrical and control equipment, networks, and logic to ensure reliability and manage obsolescence.
- Gain a thorough understanding of plant processes and control systems to provide ongoing support and troubleshooting.
- Oversee the electrical and control hardware, software, systems, and networks that support production and auxiliary systems for maximum reliability.
- Install, program, and repair control systems and devices used in production processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation, measurement, and control technologies.
- Conduct fault analysis and carry out repairs as needed.
- Execute maintenance tasks independently according to established specifications and plans.
- Standardize and improve the plant's electrical infrastructure.
- Keep team members informed of important developments or issues as they arise.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and properly maintained.
- Develop risk assessments and hazard evaluations for new projects.
- Manage the process for updating and redistributing redlined drawings.
- Act as the electrical, automation, and process control lead for future projects and process improvements.
- Collaborate with Innovation teams both internally and within the industry to drive technological advancements.
- Work with R&D, engineering, production, IT, and HSE teams to optimize systems.
- Conduct risk assessments, identify weak points in systems, and ensure adherence to occupational safety, maintenance, and quality management standards.
- Focus on improving energy efficiency (ISO 50.001) while ensuring product safety remains the highest priority.
- Maintain compliance with all legal and safety procedures, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide training and technical support to maintenance and operations staff on automation systems, enhancing their ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
- Manage third-party contractors for engineering support, system installations, modifications, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in the implementation of new processes and technologies for plant operations.
- Address technical needs of daily plant operations as required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of experience in power distribution and troubleshooting, preferably in manufacturing
- Project engineering experience helpful
