Electrical Engineer
Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer with a passion for designing motor controls and solving complex technical challenges? We're seeking a motivated professional to join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge overhead crane and hoist systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design motor controls for overhead cranes and hoists, including Magnetic Motor Starters, Relays, and AC Inverters.
- Perform calculations for wire sizes and overload protection for systems up to 800 volts DC and 4160 volts AC, adhering to industry codes and standards.
- Develop single-line diagrams, panel layouts, and interconnect drawings based on customer specifications.
- Specify and size components using vendor information and internal standards.
- Provide solutions to field and manufacturing issues by collaborating with engineers, technicians, and other departments.
- Create and modify electrical schematics, general arrangement drawings, and cable diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and improve existing designs to address field issues or material obsolescence.
- Travel occasionally to customer sites for meetings or to troubleshoot control systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET).
- 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience with AutoCAD 2016 or Zuken E3.
- PLC and HMI programming experience preferred (Rockwell, Siemens, or Danfoss).
- Experience with variable frequency drive (VFD) setup.
- Strong understanding and application of the NEC electrical code.
