Electrical Engineer

CFD Research Corporation is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to join our Power & Energy Team and play a pivotal role in the design, development and integration of complex systems for our customers. In this role you will support power electronics, battery research, rapid prototyping and detailed hardware development. This individual will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and support all aspects of electrical design, development and test. This role is based out of our headquarters in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience PCB design and layout, firmware development, and electrical analysis.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Position:

- Electrical system design, layout, integration and test

- Testing and debugging of circuit boards

- Circuit Analysis and simulation

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other relevant STEM degree
• Candidate should have 2 to 4 years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably in power electronics
• Current Department of Defense Security Clearance or capable of obtaining

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Comfortable working in a prototyping environment
• Experience in EMI/EMC design and analysis
• Experience in Cable/Harness design and development
• Proficiency in MATLAB
• Experience in design, development, and verification of FPGA or ASIC solutions for integrated software and hardware systems.

Location: This individual will work onsite at our headquarters in Huntsville, AL.
