Electrical Engineer

Location: Macon, GA (Relocation Available)

INFINITEK are supporting a major personal product manufacturer in their search for a Electrical Engineer to oversee electrical systems and drive innovation in energy management at their state-of-the-art facility. This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining plant infrastructure, supporting equipment upgrades, and optimizing energy consumption.

Key Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer

  • Manage the design, specification, and installation of electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, motors, and controls.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for power distribution and lockout processes.
  • Maintain and improve the plant's electrical infrastructure by collaborating with maintenance teams.
  • Spearhead plant upgrades and new equipment installations.
  • Coordinate design, specification, and installation of mechanical systems such as conveyors and pumps.
  • Monitor project costs, schedules, and deliver timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Supervise equipment commissioning and construction activities.
  • Lead energy savings initiatives and collaborate with the local electrical power provider.
  • Work with maintenance and operations teams to enhance equipment performance and ensure plant efficiency.

Qualification Requirements to be an Electrical Engineer

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or an associate's degree in engineering technology.

Minimum of 5 years in a relevant field, with a focus on building automation and energy control systems, commissioning and energy-saving initiatives and PLCs and instrumentation (preferred).

Skill Requirements for Electrical Engineer:

Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

Familiarity with energy management program development.
