Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will design building electrical systems including power, lighting, fire alarm, and special systems. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects in our government sector.

In this role, you will:

• Develop the electrical systems design of a given project based on scope of work and/or client requirements.
• Provide engineering planning, design, and construction administration for all electrical systems including power, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
• Conduct existing building surveys and documentations of existing electrical and fire alarm systems.
• Write/edit project specifications.

You will be a great fit if:

• You have a minimum of 1-3 years design experience.
• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• You have LEED certification/experience. PE/EIT is preferred.
• You have experience with projects in healthcare, science and technology, education and commercial buildings. Government projects design is preferred.
• Certified Energy Manager (CEM) is a plus.
• You have knowledge of electrical calculations including lighting photometric calcs, voltage drop and overcurrent protection coordination, and short circuit calculations.

Skills/abilities:

• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and design guidelines.
• Excellent work ethic and attitude.
• Good communication and time management skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, combined with organizational skills, the ability to plan, balance, and prioritize work.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
