DescriptionHitachi Energy is seeking for a Senior Electrical Engineer for its Alamo, TN, Location.Your Responsibilities:* Perform various engineering functions, including technical analysis, design, development, testing, installation, and service.* Work from instructions, drawings, proposals, specifications, and other relevant information.* Prepare specifications and related documents per requirements, established formats, and general instructions.* Review and analyze engineering data, documents, and reports.* Consult with other engineering groups to ensure that specified engineering criteria are suitable for the proposed application, recommending revisions as necessary.* Investigate technical problems and establish procedures and corrective actions to prevent recurrences.* Allocate approximately 40% of the time to customer-focused activities and commercial orders, 30% to product care, and 30% to operational troubleshooting and field support.* Assist other engineers in preparing specifications, selecting materials and designs, drafting contract proposals, and preparing licensing and safety documents. Obtain required approvals.* Develop 2-D and 3-D models of components and assemblies for prototypes, production, and retrofit builds using advanced CAD software (AutoCAD and CREO Parametric).* Learn and apply basic numerical tolerance calculations and stack-up analysis.Your Background:* Bachelor's degree in electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical engineering or a related field, with 3 to 7 years of experience.
