**Job Description:**

* Design Group is looking for a motivated, high energy, well-organized, collaborative Electrical Engineering Department Manager who has the ability to understand and deliver power distribution and other facilities A/E electrical engineering design packages for manufacturing clients. This person will possess the skill to execute complex projects and a desire to deliver outstanding work product to clients. He/she will lead a team of engineers and designers in the development of electrical design documents and deliverables for all project phases (conceptual and detailed design, feasibility studies, and construction documentation). The Electrical Engineering Department Manager may execute work on multiple projects simultaneously as directed by project leaders.

**Responsibilities:**

* Responsible for the Electrical Engineering team and will work with the other regional AE-Process office Electrical Engineers

* Provide Electrical Engineering leadership, review all electrical engineering work and assure our team produce the highest quality work deliverables

* Develop strong relationships within the region and the AE-Process Practice in support of the AE-Process Practice Vision

* Provide client development, project execution and organizational leadership while mentoring and nurturing our professionals to enhance their careers in alignment with the firms vision

* Leverage your technical skills, expertise, and leadership skills to successfully deliver project deliverables that meet or exceed the clients expectations and build Client Trust

* Build relationships with the greater practice and market sector professionals, resulting in a cohesive and technically correct operational solution. This includes interfacing and resolving highly complex technical solutions with our firm-wide building, utility, process, packaging and construction professionals

* Provide strategic leadership in implementation of the Design Group Vision. This includes client presentations and developing marketing profiles, organizational planning, recruiting and implementation approach. Challenge and search for new value propositions, which strengthen & diversify the Firm and enhance the greater value provided to our clients

* The services we provide our clients requires our professionals to regularly be onsite, which may require travel, to ensure successful project execution.

**Requirements:**

* 12+ years A/E facilities electrical engineering design experience

* 3+ years experience as an electrical engineering design manager preferred

* Experience developing power distribution and other facilities electrical engineering designs for High Tech or other industrial manufacturing facilities and processes required

* Demonstrated ability to present designs to existing and new clients

* Demonstrated ability lead an electrical engineering design team

* Proficient with AutoCAD required and Revit is a major plus

* Proficient with written and verbal technical communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations.

* Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements to include but not be limited to: project installation and start-up activities, client meetings, company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, or conventions, etc.

**Education:**

* Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university required

* Masters Degree in Electrical Engineer or Engineering Management a plus

**Licenses:**

* Professional Engineering license required
