This position will support a specific engineering project or product improvement initiatives.YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Provide engineering support to the design, development and selection of basic hardware or software components utilizing fundamental engineering principles, theories and techniques.
- Obtain working knowledge of company tools. Perform analyses and compile data for investigation by senior engineering personnel.
- Assist in the design, fabrication or testing of prototype hardware or software. Document results for review by senior engineering personnel.
- Support assemblers, technicians, and inspectors for manufacturing issues on new and existing products.
- Participate in and document corrective action requests using 9 Step problem solving methodology.
- Performs other duties as needed and assigned.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:
- Must be enrolled in a fully accredited college/university and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferably close to graduation.
- Basic understanding of Engineering in applicable discipline.
- Able to read electrical and mechanical schematics and diagrams.
- Knowledge and use of basic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, and frequency generators
- Ability to interface with Mechanical, Software and Applications Engineers.
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Motivated self-starter with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Enthusiastic, detail oriented and task focused and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Passionate about Hands on work and enjoys problem solving.
- Exposure to drafting/modeling software preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is an asset.
- S. Citizenship and are able to obtain/maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
