Our client is a leading MEP engineering consulting firm specializing in commercial building projects. Located in Irvine, CA, the firm provides cutting-edge engineering solutions across a wide array of industries. Due to increased demand, they are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineering Manager to lead their electrical team in delivering high-quality, innovative solutions for complex commercial projects.
Position Overview:
As the Senior Electrical Engineering Manager, you will oversee the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of commercial buildings. This role involves leading a team of engineers, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining quality standards. You'll work closely with clients, architects, and other engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, managing their workload and ensuring quality in design.
- Oversee the design of electrical systems for commercial buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive project designs.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction documentation.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to meet company and client expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing questions and providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support business development activities, such as assisting with proposals and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical engineering experience, specifically in commercial building design.
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management role within an MEP firm.
- Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.
