What You'll Do:
- Project Analysis: Review plans and specs to define the scope of electrical work.
- Material Takeoffs: Perform detailed material takeoffs and calculate quantities.
- Labor Estimation: Assess labor needs for each project.
- Supplier Collaboration: Work with suppliers and subcontractors to get accurate pricing.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Present Estimates: Present cost breakdowns to clients and management with clear justifications.
- Bid Participation: Contribute to bid reviews and negotiations to sharpen our competitive edge.
- Project Handover: Ensure seamless handover of estimates to the project management team.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator, especially in water treatment and federal projects.
- Deep understanding of electrical systems and installation techniques.
- Proficient in estimating software like Accubid, McCormick, and Bluebeam.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities with a strong eye for detail.
- Solid communication and presentation skills, able to work independently or in a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards.
