Position OverviewThe Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates for electrical construction projects. This role involves analyzing project requirements, collaborating with project managers and engineers, and ensuring that all estimates align with the company's financial objectives while adhering to industry standards.Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical systems and low voltage installations.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to clarify project requirements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to create comprehensive bids for electrical projects.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and ensure competitive estimates.
- Monitor project costs and assist in budget management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary information for estimating.
- Provide ongoing support and updates to the project team regarding estimates and budget status.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, low voltage installations, and related construction practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess project specifications and requirements.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools used for electrical estimation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
