- Project Leadership: Oversee electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Team Management: Lead and manage a team of electricians, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring that safety protocols are strictly followed.
- On-Site Supervision: Supervise daily operations on job sites, ensuring quality control, adherence to project plans, and effective coordination with other trades.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot electrical issues on-site and provide hands-on assistance when necessary to resolve problems efficiently.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of work performed, including materials used, labor hours, and any project changes.
- Compliance: Ensure that all work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as company policies and safety standards.
- Emergency Services: Lead emergency service teams when required, providing 24/7 electrical support to clients in urgent need of power restoration or repairs.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including fire alarms, low voltage installations, and industrial electrical services.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Leadership Skills: Experience leading a team of electricians, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Safety-Oriented: Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and best practices for job site safety.
- Technology Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project documentation.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required; ability to travel to job sites across the five boroughs.
- OSHA Training: Completion of a minimum of 62 hours of OSHA-certified safety training is required.
