We have a strong reputation and extensive network of customer relationships and have consistently provided new, cutting-edge product innovations.Job Details:The successful General Manager will be responsible for transacting the business of Prism Electrics Service Department within an assigned geographical and functional area in such a way that customer satisfaction is maintained at a high level, adequate safety standards are met, a well-trained highly motivated workforce is available, and a minimum of 10% revenue growth and a 15% new profit margin is maintained within the assigned region.Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring that all safety practices are maintained in the division, and that all associated paperwork and documentation is maintained properly and reported to the proper departments as needed.
- Must maintain a productive workforce possessing the necessary skills and expertise, and a drive to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Ensure the division meets and exceeds minimum revenue growth and profit margin based on the goals set for the region.
- Responsible for coaching and growing the associates of the branch to ensure the personnel are properly engaged in their daily activities and poised to grow within the organization.
- Implement and maintain a policy of fairness and honesty in dealing with associates.
- Ensure that all members of the division follow Prisms policies and procedures and exceed customer expectations.
- Constantly monitor customer needs and desires and respond with measurable written goals, and methods to achieve them monthly.
- Maintain an exceptional customer satisfaction ratio.
- Develop groups of technicians able to work independently and successfully market and increase sales and profits within geographical areas.
- Increase volume and profit on a yearly basis for the company.
- Maintain harmony with other branches, departments, and corporate officers.
- Align department and branch goals to fully support the attainment of overall company goals.
- Promote services provided by other branches within the company such as commercial, residential, and industrial construction.
- Ensure permitted work is inspected and completed to the latest electrical code standards.
- Responsible for assuring all company vehicles and equipment are maintained properly and in good working order.
- Prepare annual division and branch budget to send to corporate office and to be followed closely on a month-to-month basis for accuracy.
- Grow sales for the local branch and ensure that all estimates and margins are within the company guidelines.
- Carefully select and train all Customer Service Managers (CSMs) within the branch to meet and exceed customer and company expectations.
Requirements:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of estimating and project management experience related to commercial projects.
- Must have experience with large commercial projects (concept to close-out)
- Strong computer software skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Particularly Excel)
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong employment stability
- Knowledge of Accubid and other construction management software
- Understanding AutoCAD and/or Revit
