The electronic hardware/software engineer will be responsible for assisting with development of custom hardware related to the field of
imaging as well as custom camera adapter boards.
Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Electronic hardware design and assembly
- Motion control board programming
- Some mechanical design/fabrication
- Embedded programming as needed
- Computer programming as needed
- Image Quality Testing and Benchmarking
Qualifications
- BSEE/BSCE degree
- Demonstrated knowledge in electronic theory and application
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in electronic hardware design / software programming
- Ability to quickly learn new skills in varied disciplines a must
- Strong personal motivation and will to succeed
Desired Skills & Experience
- BSCS degree considered if relevant electronic experience obtained elsewhere
- Prior or current experience with Altium, Kicad, and/or Cadence tools
- Prior experience using Python, Matlab, C/C++
- CMOS image sensor knowledge preferred
- Working knowledge in digital signal processing
- Working knowledge in computer vision
- Prior experience writing GUI applications
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design/fabrication
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
- Willing to travel to customer locations 20%
- Photography interest and knowledge a plus
