If you want to be part of a great team with endless possibilities for growth you've found your next career at SPATCO. The electrical helper will work on a variety of constructions jobs. This position will work within a team and may be required to travel out of town. In this position the electrical helper will be eligible to attend our in-house training programs to advance their current understanding of the construction and/or electrical industry. Job Duties: Assist in the assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and fixtures used in the petroleum industry. Install conduits, pull wire and make final connections to circuit breakers, petroleum pumps, dispensers, Point of Sale consoles, tank monitors and petroleum lighting. Inspect electrical system and components to verify compliance with safety requirements, codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements. Verify proper operation of the electrical system. Advise management, customers and employees when hazards are present and when electrical systems are safe to operate. Assist estimator with material take-off, material cost and labor allowances.Experience, Competencies and Education: High school diploma or GED At least 2 to 3 years working as an apprentice with an electrical company, no journeyman card needed Knowledge of Electrician standards & codes required Detail oriented Strong communication skills Ability to lift 75 -100 lbs when necessary during the course of performing their necessary duties. Work outside in all types of weather. Work under time constraints efficiently and have the ability to work well with others. Follow all company procedures.
