Job Type Part-timeDescriptionThis is a Part Time Electrical Instructor positoin. Classes are taught 3 times per year, running 3 evenings a week for roughly 12 weeks at a time. The starting rate of pay is $35/hour.SUMMARYDevelops, coordinates, and provides high-quality education and training to students for Construction Training Department. Delivers National Center for Construction Education and Research's (NCCER) comprehensive curriculum that guides learners through safety, electrical circuits, theory, the National Electrical Code, tools and techniques, construction documents, residential wiring, and electrical test equipment. The instructional curriculum aligns with U.S. Department of Labor and Organizational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards for apprenticeship programs while catering specialized electrical career pathways by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMaintains accurate records of student performance, attendance, and individualized learning plans.Generates and analyzes reports to assess the curriculum's effectiveness and identify improvement areas.Administers regular module tests to evaluate students' understanding and proficiency in electrical.Provides timely and constructive assessment feedback and individual coaching, guiding students towards continuous improvement.Conducts training within Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont guidelines utilizing NCCER standardized curriculum.Conducts live demonstrations of electrical techniques and emphasizes safety protocols and best practices.Identifies and addresses individual learning needs, adapting instructional strategies to accommodate diverse student abilities and backgrounds.Maintains knowledge of industry Current trends, research, developments, and resources to identify evolving training needs.Integrates Federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations into curriculum.Provides supplemental instruction and resources to students who need assistance with mastering specific electrical skills.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTSPerforms other job-related tasks as assigned by Site Supervisor.LEADERSHIP COMPETENCIESTo perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate the following competencies defined for a TEAM LEADER within Goodwill's Leadership Competency Model and in alignment with our Core Values and Strategic Vision:MISSION & COMMUNITY ORIENTED:

RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSAt least four years' experience in electrical or three years as a certified teacher at a vocational/technical construction or maintenance-related training program.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh School degree or general education degree (GED). National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Certified preferred.COMPUTER SKILLSExpert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSValid Driver's License (Class C), car insurance and reliable automobile required.PHYSICAL DEMANDSWhile performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly (more than 2/3 of the day) required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The team member frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the day) is required to talk or listen. The team member is occasionally (less than 1/3 of the day) required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
