Job Description:

We have an Upstream Oil & Gas company based in Pecos, TX looking for an E&I Construction Specialist to support the planning, design, and execution of electrical and instrumentation systems for well-site construction projects.

  • Work type: W2 Contract / Non-exempt
  • Contract Duration: 1 year, possibility of extension
  • Pay Rate: Hourly + 1.5x OT

Summary:

As an E&I Construction Specialist, you will be instrumental in the planning, design, and execution of electrical and instrumentation systems for well site construction projects. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant installation of these essential systems. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals, you will ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.

This role involves oversight of construction activities for both maintenance and new construction projects, with a primary focus on new facility construction.

Key Responsibilities:

System Planning and Design:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop detailed plans for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Ensure alignment with project objectives, safety guidelines, and operational requirements.

Construction Oversight:

  • Supervise installation activities, including cable laying, equipment mounting, and wiring.
  • Monitor progress, quality, and ensure adherence to project schedules.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Implement safety protocols and best practices during installation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineers, technicians, and contractors to resolve technical challenges.
  • Foster effective communication within the project team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in electrical and instrumentation construction within industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, API).
  • Proficiency in system design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
