Position Summary & Duties: HGA is looking for a field Electrical/Instrumentation Quantity Surveyor to support one of our clients, located in Nederland, TX. The Electrical/Instrumentation Quantity Surveyor is responsible for focusing on electrical and instrumentation systems within construction or engineering projects. This role involves a mix of technical expertise, cost management, and project planning to help ensure that projects involving electrical systems and instrumentation components stay within budget and meet design requirements. Job Description•Working with limited supervision, provide quantity surveying for instrumentation and electrical scopes of work•Analyze and prepare BOQs from submitted IFC drawings; validate reported contractor quantities•Measure contractor progress on site and validate contractor progress claims•Review and verify total installed quantities•Work with the scheduling team to validate planned work sequences•Assist with reviewing quantities and pricing for proposed change requests•Attend progress/planning meetings, identify and report areas of concern•Build good working relationships with key stakeholders•Analysis of project performance and productivity, validate reported contractor productivityQualifications: Job Requirements•BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, Piping Engineering, Structural Engineering or commensurate work experience in a construction supervisory role•8 or more years of experience in industrial construction of industrial facilities.•Experience working on Client side as representation in the field•Demonstrated technical and analytical skills•Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written•Ability to work within a team with demonstrated strong interpersonal skills•Demonstrated self-motivation and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution•Within commuting distance of Nederland, TX.Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled
