If you are a team player, adaptable to change, and have a hands-on attitude, join the team as an Electrical & Instrumentation Tech.So, what will you be doing?As an electrical and instrumentation technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the electrical and instrumentation equipment at the production facility. The individual will be responsible for performing routine maintenance of the facility's electrical equipment.About the Role:Some of your day-to-day duties include:Inspecting, testing, adjusting, calibrating, and repairing electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to indicate and record.Inspecting meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations.Maintaining a functional knowledge of the operations software and hardware.Making preventative maintenance inspections of all control instrumentation.Troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures and the aptitude to correct those failures.Completing work order cycles, performing work, confirming time, and entering equipment history.Diagnosing existing or potential trouble with plant electrical equipment.Cleaning, lubricating, calibrating, and adjusting as conditions indicate.Laying out, installing, and placing electrical equipment into service.Performing housekeeping duties as requested, responsible for keeping designated area clean and clear of safety hazards.Multi-craft skill set is a plus; ability to perform additional maintenance tasks as assigned.Who you are:You possess the following:High school diploma or equivalent required.Technical degree preferred.5+ years industrial maintenance experience.Ability to adapt to working within a team or lone working environment, with minimal supervision.Maintain and adjust equipment to maximize production and minimize downtime.Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS); must have experience with Programmable Logic Controllers, Servo, and Frequency Drives.Must have a professional attitude and work well with others.Promote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and job safety procedures.Perform/coordinate good housekeeping in the facility.Must be willing to work shifts which include weekends, nights, and holidays.What's it like to work at Drax?The Perks:A competitive hourly wage, with opportunities to move into different positions as you gain experience.Great benefits starting day 1 and a 401K matching plan to support your personal and family goals.A supportive team environment where you will continuously learn and grow.At Drax, we're at our best when we help each other achieve the things that are important to each of us.
