Opportunity:To provide electrical/electronic engineering technical support to Manufacturing and Maintenance, and to assist in the implementation of approved projects and the modification to manufacturing and/or facility equipment, as well as the resolution of equipment problems. Qualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates or Technical Degree (preferred)Experience: 2-5 years in industrial electrical/electronic control systems; AC/DC Motor Drives and Tuning, Electro-hydraulic controls; PLC control system programming/installation; CAD drafting (preferred).Areas of Knowledge: Electronics; PLC Fundamentals and Programming; Rockwell/Allen Bradley/Siemens PLC training; MicroLogix and ControlLogix platforms, Variable Frequency Drives, Digital/Analog controls; Electrical Troubleshooting; Electrical Safety, Computer control Siemens AC/DC drives (preferred); Siemens PLC and GE Series 90 PLC training (preferred) and Power Distribution (preferred).Skills: Equipment Troubleshooting, Industrial Electronics, Technical Writing, Computer Operation, Communications, Print Reading, Project Management, CAD drafting (preferred).Role Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures including: LOTO program, PPE, confined space arc flash, high voltage and environmental issues.
- Assist Maintenance in troubleshooting electrical control problems.
- Assist engineers with preliminary and construction engineering as directed.
- Maintain electrical drawings and documentation manually and digitally.
- Design or redesign electrical circuits, controls, PLC programs and computer controls as directed.
- Assist Maintenance with equipment upgrades, control modifications and documentation.
- Develop AFE's (Authorization for Expenditure) for Capital projects.
- Maintain availability during off shifts.
