Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage teams to achieve short- and long-term goals.
- Maximize equipment utilization, yield, and productivity by reducing downtime through effective planning and scheduling.
- Use maintenance and reliability tools to drive improvements and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with union leads to solve problems, using both internal and external expertise.
- Implement maintenance and safety procedures to ensure high-quality production in a safe environment.
- Adhere to collective bargaining agreements while maintaining operational flexibility and efficiency.
- Provide electrical expertise for operations, failures, delays, and special projects.
- Prepare and manage department budgets and project costs with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee contractors for maintenance activities, ensuring timely and cost-efficient solutions.
- Develop and request capital projects that support operations and maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures to prevent hazardous conditions in the workplace.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a technical field or at least 8 years of electrical experience, or a combination of both.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership and electrical experience.
- High electrical experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data, identify issues, and find solutions.
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and manage multiple variables.
- Experience managing conflict and coaching/mentoring others.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Kronos and maintenance software (e.g., INFOR) is preferred.
