You can explore the details of our benefits offering by visiting the following link: JOB SUMMARY: The Electrician/Mechanical Technician plans and implements installations, maintenance and repair of all electrical systems for the Hospital. The position is responsible for the daily upkeep of the Hospital's electrical distribution systems and all related electrical equipment. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs repairs and does preventive maintenance on the Hospital's electrical distribution system.
  • Is responsible for safety check of all incoming equipment to be used with the electrical distribution system, to include non-patient equipment and equipment used by the staff.
  • Pulls cable for various systems according to needs.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment that is electrically controlled. Keeps
  • records of all P.M.'s accomplished.
  • Helps the HVAC Mechanic with electrical motors and equipment as needed.
  • Assists when necessary to insure that all purchased electrical equipment is compatible to
  • the existing electrical distribution systems available.
  • Is responsible for repair or replacement decisions for all small appliances to be used by
  • staff.
  • Is responsible on a rotating basis for answering the daily trouble and emergency calls that
  • are dispatched through the maintenance office.
  • Works, when necessary, on various in-house construction projects related to the electrical
  • scope of work. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs duties in a manner that is consistent with the hospital's core values and the language of caring habits.
  • Attends mandatory departmental meetings, hospital in-services, and continuing education programs to keep informed of new developments affecting hospital initiatives and his/her area of expertise.
  • Participates on Continuous Improvement Teams as required. Performs tasks necessary for maintenance and improvement of his/her functional area within the department.
  • Maintains effective, timely lines of communication with his/her supervisor and co-workers.
  • Maintains acceptable attendance and punctuality in order to maximize his/her contribution to the organization in accordance with hospital policy.

  • EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required for this position.
  • Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program, or Journeyman license.
