Job Title: Electrical Maintenance TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role involves the installation, testing, repairing, and maintaining of electrical and electronic plant equipment. The successful candidate will support the equipment, building, and other site systems, assist with facility and machinery upgrades and improvements, and foster a positive work environment.
Responsibilities- Install, test, repair, and maintain electrical or electronic plant equipment.
- Support equipment, building, and other site systems.
- Assist with facility and machinery upgrades and improvements, both mechanical and electrical.
- Foster a positive work environment.
- Receive work orders and follow applicable codes to perform tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and diagrams.
- Respond to emergency machinery breakdowns and correct issues promptly.
- Inspect electrical systems to identify potential hazards.
- Install and modify existing equipment as needed.
- Manage gauges, filters, fluids, readings, cooling systems, burners, compressors, chillers, and die cutters.
Essential Skills- Troubleshooting skills, including PLC troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with troubleshooting printing and lamination equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLC programs and implement corrective actions.
- Knowledge of SLC 500 or PLC5, Eurotherm Drive (590-690), Siemens Drives S7 / PLC.
- Experience with process control and instrumentation.
- Understanding of 480 V power distribution.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for faults.
- Team-oriented with knowledge of safety procedures and preventive maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Coordination with other plant personnel to improve operations.
- Support machine upgrades with regards to safety.
- Familiarity with OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
