Job Description:

Korn Ferry Military Division has partnered with our client on their search for an Electrical Maintenance Technician.

* This company is specifically seeking candidates with U.S. military experience *

An Electrical degree or previous training is highly preferred, and will give you a huge advantage over other candidates!

Compensation: $27.00/hour

Shift: 12-hour rotating shift (7:00 to 7:00.) Shift works a 4-on / 4-off rotating schedule. Four days that are on days, four days off and then you come back for four nights; the cycle then repeats.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of equipment in the production facility.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on complex electrical equipment (PLCs, control circuits, communication systems, I/O field devices, and VFD drives/motors.)
  • Install or modify electrical equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, and other specifications with minimal instruction after general assignment.
  • Work directly with all maintenance and operations personnel in a fast-paced environment to help develop a safety focused and productive HM team and support electrical teammates to help maintain a positive and efficient work environment focused on safety and reliability.
  • Assist in the development of a work safety program, PM system, personnel training program, and equipment spares list for the electrical group.

Education and Work Experience

  • At least 4 years US Military experience required
  • Basic PLC programing experience required (Siemens preferred)
  • 3+ years experience as an industrial electrician.
  • EMN, EM, ETs/Electronics Technicians (Electrical degree/training preferred.)
  • Previous experience with NFPA 70E practices.
  • Familiar with common electrical tools and measuring instruments.
  • Experience reading electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
  • Strong working knowledge of 480 volt 3 phase electrical distribution systems and motor control.
