ROLE SUMMARY: The Electrical Manager, Manufacturing oversees all activities related to the prefabrication and preassembly of Electrical systems. This role ensures that all Electrical projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Electrical Manager will collaborate closely with other department managers, project managers, superintendents, and the BIM/VDC teams to optimize fabrication processes and ensure that all installations meet the required specifications, B&I standards, and building codes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the Electrical shop team, ensuring safe and efficient production.Work closely with the BIM/VDC teams to ensure accurate drawings and specifications are provided for fabrication.Review submittals to verify that equipment, fixtures, and materials meet project requirements; provide feedback to Project Managers and VDC teams.Oversee the review of architectural, civil, and structural drawings to verify space and elevation adequacy for MEP systems and address any conflicts.Manage material procurement, including tools and equipment, and ensure timely delivery to support production schedules.Conduct field visits to review shop drawing content with installation crews, obtaining feedback for improvement.Evaluate the performance of shop foremen and workers, providing guidance and training as necessary to maintain high productivity levels. Conduct timely performance appraisals. Implement and monitor Lean manufacturing principles to continuously improve processes and reduce waste.Collaborate with other trades to prevent conflicts and ensure smooth project workflow.Maintain a focus on safety, enforcing company policies and OSHA regulations within the shop environment.Assist in developing appropriate KPIsMaintain KPI Core Value boards, with regular consistent updates: Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Mentorship - Help others climb the corporate ladder behind you, don't pull the ladder up. Train up the next level of future Electrical Managers, BIM/VDC Spoolers, and manufacturing shop leaders.Develop SOPs. Train the team on SOPs. Hold the team accountable for SOPs. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Minimum requirements are those concerned with the very minimal qualifications sought for the role to include education, experience, licenses, certificates, permits, etc., appropriate to the role)
Minimum eight years of field experience, with at least four years at a foreman level in commercial Electrical.Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Electrical systems, materials, fabrication, and installation techniques.Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and process improvement.OSHA 30 Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, and specifications.Comfortable and able to use construction technology (Bluebeam, Evolve, Navisworks etc...) as well as MS Office suite of products (Outlook, Teams, Planner, PowerBI etc..)#bandi1
