This role ensures effective communication with clients, contractors, designers, engineers, and subcontractors. With deep knowledge of construction processes and industry standards, the Project Manager oversees milestones, handles changes, resolves issues, and manages budgets. They are also responsible for upholding our core values of Family, Loyalty, Innovation, Passion, Integrity, Respect for People, and Social Consciousness, while driving continuous improvement through the Collins Business System (CBS).What You'll Do
- Develop comprehensive project plans in alignment with design requirements, schedules, and financial objectives.
- Coordinate with clients, designers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clarity of deliverables, requirements, schedules, and costs.
- Document and communicate project plans effectively to all relevant parties involved.
- Apply extensive knowledge of construction processes, industry standards, and procedures to facilitate effective project management.
- Identify and implement best practices to optimize project outcomes and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Monitor project milestones, progress, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Generate technical status reports and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and progress.
- Evaluate change order requests, assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and cost, and negotiate terms with the general contractor to ensure fair compensation for additional work or variations.
- Oversee the creation and submission of proposed change orders.
- Document and track all change orders, including scope changes, costs, and approvals, to maintain project profitability and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Identify and address any escalated issues that may impact project delivery or quality.
- Coordinate with relevant parties to implement timely and effective solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Act as a primary point of contact for addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback related to the project.
- Conduct cost analysis and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising project quality or timelines.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Monitor project expenditures against budget allocations and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators, budget variances, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with the finance department to track project financials, process invoices, and reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
- Continuously seek opportunities to optimize project costs and improve financial efficiency while maintaining project quality and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Create monthly profit projections.
- Process monthly billings.
- Perform any other job-related duties or function as assigned by management.
- Accountable for leading efforts in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and methodologies to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Participate in CECI Continuous Improvement events as needed (ex: JDI, RIE & A3's)
- Maintain SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) for compliance practices and other associated functions.
- Demonstrates and represents company core values in daily actions, interactions, and decision-making processes.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3+ years of experience in electrical project management within the construction industry.
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and execute construction projects from start to finish.
- Skilled in creating project plans, setting milestones, and managing resources to meet budget and schedule goals.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, cost estimation, and financial control.
- Proficient in tracking expenses, ensuring profitability, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Experienced in handling change orders and assessing financial impact.
