The Department of Facilities Management & Development at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Electrical Shop Supervisor, Assistant Facilities Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will:
* Report to the Director of Physical Plant and Associate Director of Physical Plant.
* Coordinate of repairs and maintenance activities with other shop users.
* Develop scopes of minor projects and prepare estimates.
* Coordinate support and monitoring of construction projects and contractor activities.
* Verify as built drawing accuracy.
* Management of electrical issues for all campus and satellite buildings.
* Participate in maintenance and operation of emergency power systems including diesel generators.
* Plan and coordinate systems repairs and time-frames.
* Responsible for ordering replacement parts indicating quality and type required.
* Implement a preventative maintenance program for electrical equipment and italicizing our computerized maintenance management work order system.
* Close follow-up with department trade supervisors, contractors and facilities Management Department staff.
* Function as liaison for capital equipment commissioning projects.
* Perform other duties as requested by Director of Physical Plant and Associate Director of Physical Plant.
Required Qualifications:
* Knowledge of electronic theory and practice as applied to the electrical trade, UPS systems and related switchgear.
* Knowledge and experience with TMA computerized maintenance management software.
* TJC regulatory experience in satisfying document requirements for emergency lighting and power is necessary.
* Ability to train and supervise others, manage and coordinate multiple projects while producing time results.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 6-years full-time satisfactory experience as a Journeyman Electrician and/or 4-years in an Electrical Supervisory capacity acquired within the last fifteen years.

Variable Days; 8:00am to 4:00pm (Full-Time)
