Role Qualifications: - Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering Technology degree from an ABET-accredited program and successfully completing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- 1-4 years of experience in power delivery - medium to high voltage (12 kV to 500 kV).
- Basic knowledge of electrical engineering techniques, principles, and procedures.
- Comfortable in the Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.
- Desires to support project managers in design and coordination efforts.
- Seeks opportunities to collaborate with others and be a coordination force behind project guidelines.
- Thrives in a collaborative project environment and enjoys all forms of communication while working with clients and team members (virtual, in-person, phone).
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
Key Responsibilities: - Project electrical design in our power group provides the opportunity to interact with multiple stakeholders and in a wide variety of services that encompass our discipline in the development of power infrastructure projects: this includes leading the electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements set forth by the project managers.
- Technical oversight: Applies knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry, applies knowledge and experience to complex projects, and finds non-standard design solutions.
- Mentoring and developing the Power team to further our success in the industry: This includes not only electrical engineering and technical training but also empowering teammates to find their passion and skills in our industry and translate that to continued career success. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction goals and expectations are met.
- Administrative oversight: Supporting GPD's quality assurance and client standards by using design expertise to partner with Project Managers and support their team's QA/QC efforts. This also includes assisting Project Managers in forming schedules, estimates, and proposals.
