The Electrical Superintendent oversees the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and public facilities based on the plans, specifications, and estimate of the scope of the work. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Manage projects efficiently and economically in the areas of scheduling, manpower, material supply, tool coordination, and reporting Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair of electrical systems Conduct pre-job planning, assign work, supervise, and evaluate workflow to drive productivity Lead a team of electricians and helpers by setting an example, and conducting on the job training Follow project schedule, complete time sheets, safety reports, project analysis, and other reports as required in an accurate and timely manner Accurately install wire, conduit, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre-fab assemblies, boxes, and breakers according to job specifications and NEC Install electrical distribution and automation equipment: switchgear, transformers, disconnects, PLC cabinets and VFD's Proficient with circuitry of the trade to include power, control, and motor terminations (single and three phase) Bend conduit by hand and with benders Collaborate with Project Manager about project changes Performs excavations of dirt, rock, concrete, and other materials using hand tools or power equipment These duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may change to meet the priorities and ongoing needs of the company. Qualifications and Requirements: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires the ability to read and understand instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges Accurately perform basic math calculations to include addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, division, and the use of measurements Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and nonverbal) Requires self-motivation, organization, and prioritization management Proficient knowledge of OSHA standards and guidelines Technical degree, 5-7 years' experience, extensive mechanical ability, or a combination of education and/or experience Certifications or experience preferred in the following areas: Journeyman or Master Electrician card/license OSHA certifications First Aid and CPR certification Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb; lifts and carry up to 60 lbs, crawl, kneel, push and reach; use hands to fingers, handle, and feel. Work Environment: In performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
