ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENTWILMINGTON, NC AREAPOSITION SUMMARYPlan, direct, coordinate and supervise personnel as well as activities concerned with the installation and maintenance of electrical systems and components.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSSupervise and direct the electrical work in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines and coordinate with other trades, to ensure compliance with the overall project schedule and contract documents.Lead by exampleImplement quality control measures.Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods.Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met.Prepare and provide documents such as Jobsite Safety Analysis, Jobsite Hazard Analysis and safety reports.Interpret and track project schedule to provide two week look ahead and forecast manpower requirements based on the project goals and scheduleRead specifications and blueprints to plan procedures and determine construction requirementsTrack and complete weekly time sheets on an IPAD or computer tablet.Formally manage and request materials and suppliesSupervise, coordinate, and assign the activities of electricians, apprentices, helpers and temp workersAssist project manager in selecting and contracting with subcontractors, and directly oversee subcontractors who complete specific pieces of the project, such as fire alarm, nurse call, etc.Proactively confer with management, trade partners, other departments and contractors in order to coordinate work activities and prevent/resolve problemsLocate, measure, and mark site locations and placement of structures and equipment, using measuring and marking equipmentAnalyze worker, foresee any production problems and recommend solutions, such as improving production methods or implementing motivational plans.Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures, and company policiesMeet all requirements as an electrician and perform the work normally assigned to electriciansProvide input and supervision of the BIM process and installation.Maintain basic computer skillsEducation, Training and CertificationsHigh School Graduate or General Education Degree (G.E.D)Licensure as an electrician OR4-10 years related experience or equivalent knowledge and experienceOSHA 30Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:Electrical Construction Superintendents: 1 year (Required)License/Certification:Driver's License (Preferred)Electrical License (Preferred)
