- Must possess valid State of Oregon Plant Journeyman or General Journeyman License.
- Plant Supervisor or General Supervisor License preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical maintenance required.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Working knowledge of PLCs: GE Fanuc-RX3i, ControlLogix, VFD, VSD, AB Powerflex and/or Eaton Systems, motor controls, industrial automation, instrumentation and lighting.
- Experience with Wonderware and Factory Talk View (a plus).
- Knowledgeable in latest adopted NEC and Oregon Revised Statutes.
- Familiarity with multiple motor and control voltages and phases i.e., 120, 240, 277, 480, 4160 and 115kv.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and/or blueprints, Loop drawings and P&ID's.
- Command strong written and oral communication/presentation skills.
- Proven leadership skills in overall terminal management, and oversite of various electrical vendors.
- Ability to self-motivate and work autonomously.
- Valid Driver's License.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Yes Work Environment:
- Required job duties: a mix of indoor/outdoor supervisory activities in varying climates.
- Exposure to computer screens as needed.
- The noise level in the work environment varies with exposure to motors, drives etc.
- Working at heights required on towers etc. as needed.
- Willing to work off-shifts i.e., nights.
We are an Equal Opportunity EmployerEssential Job Responsibilities: The Electrical Superintendent ensures NEC and local grounding; bonding and circuit protection regulations are met and/or exceeded. Responsible for updating, implementing, coordinating, calibrating, and maintaining terminal PLC programs and electronic devices. Develops and implements preventative maintenance techniques and procedures. Directs, coordinates, and supervises the planning and work performed by onsite subordinate vendors, including but not limited to electrical installations, troubleshooting and the repair and maintenance of terminal electrical equipment.
- Understand and maintain all electrical documentation, drawings (both and reference materials. internal and vendor supplied) and reference materials.
- Ability to plan, schedule electrical projects, create and issue work orders and supervise onsite electrical contractors through to project completion.
- Ability to provide technical assistance as needed to onsite electrical contractors.
- Inspection of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment and/or repair.
- Issue new inventory numbers and describe, maintain warehouse database, working with electrical vendors to quote, purchase, receive and stock electrical inventory.
- Work with all departments to reach operational objectives.
- Provide input to the company regarding specifications of the operational equipment.
- Meet with vendors to secure supply and cost objectives as needed.
- Evaluate and control all electrical maintenance costs.
- Evaluate electrical maintenance programs to ensure they are accomplishing the intended objectives.
- Provide training to electrical maintenance personnel to improve performance and skills.
- Stress workplace safety and participate in terminal safety programs.
- Participate/provide input in the acquisition of new or replacement electrical equipment/gear.
- Constantly evaluate new technology as it is applied to equipment utilized by the company.
