Job Description:
Position Summary: The Electrical Supervisor works with electrical technicians to make necessary repairs and adjustments to production equipment. Installs and repairs wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment in an efficient and safe manner.Position Responsibilities:* Directsall electrical activities in the plant* Plans major electrical activities during shutdowns and machine overhauls* Measures, cuts, bends, threads, and installs electrical conduit* Pulls wiring through conduit and connects to distribution panels, lighting fixtures, and power equipment* Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breakers panels* Receives and issues work orders, diagnoses trouble and performs work as required* Notifies manager of any trouble of a complex nature* Diagnoses and makes repairs or adjustments to production equipment and water treatment plant equipment such as: dryers, tenter frames, pumps, etc* Performs preventative maintenance work as directed by management* Keeps machinery clean and painted as required* Maintains good housekeeping in work area* Follows all safety procedures and policies and advises manager of any unsafe conditions* Maintain and updates time keeping for direct reports* Works with outside contractors concerning new and existing equipment* Work with outside vendors to get the best prices on needed equipment and parts* Maintains* Any other duties as required by ManagerRole Qualifications/Essential Skills and Experience:* Employee should show proficiency in the use of electrical meters, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hacksaws, pipe threaders, conduit benders, and soldering irons* Experience in the installation and use of electrical wire, conduit, relays, fuses, DC drivers, AC drives, terminals, stripes, resistors, diodes, circuit boards, blueprints* General knowledge of , gas dryers, tenter frames, etc* Proficiency in the use of various hand tools, power shop tools, ohm testers* 5 years' experience in the electrical/electronic field* Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks* Excellent communication skills* Strong team player* Commitment to company values* Employee must use prescribed safety equipment & supply own hand toolsReporting to This Position: All Electrical Technicians
