Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled hardware engineer to lead the design, validation, and production of our wearable device. This is an opportunity for an experienced IC ready to step into a technical leadership role, guiding key hardware initiatives and collaborating across teams as we grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead schematic capture, PCB layout, and system bring-up for new hardware.
- Develop and manage validation and manufacturing test plans.
- Debug hardware systems and resolve bugs to meet timelines.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FCC, CE).
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
- Oversee hardware initiatives, ensuring alignment with product goals.
- Help grow the engineering team and mentor new hires.
- Manage suppliers and component testing to ensure quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in hardware design, with a focus on wearables or consumer electronics (Master's degree can offset some experience).
- Strong background in schematic capture, system debugging, and validation.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, testing, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in startups or fast-paced environments, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and tackle unique challenges.
- Bonus: Experience with wearable sensors or biological testing.
