Electrical Systems Engineering Technician (or Engineer), preferably with 2-5 years' experience. The ideal candidate needs to be organized, detail oriented, able to follow directions, dependable, and a team player. Needs to be a quick learner and eager to take initiatives. Company is willing to train as needed. Looking for experience that would enable the candidate to perform various tasks, including, but not limited to, the following:
- PLC programming: Allen-Bradley controllers and others (required)
- HMI programming: Allen-Bradley operator interfaces and others (required)
- VFD programming: Allen-Bradley, ABB products and others
- Field service for commissioning & troubleshooting control systems & instrumentation
- AutoCAD: Electrical and Mechanical drawings 2D & 3D
- Familiarity with PID Loops: PLC-based and stand-alone controllers
- Knowledge of industrial Fieldbus communications helpful: Ethernet/IP (required), IO Link, AS-I, CAN-BUS, etc
- Panel-Building experience: mounting and wiring components, reading ladder diagrams and electrical schematics, operating tools (required)
- Team player - support technicians and salesforce
- Technical Support on phone and on-site to Customers
- Good working knowledge of Windows Applications: MS Word and Excel
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
- 2-5 years of related experience
- Knowledge and implementation of safe working practices in workplace
- Experienced in using shop tools for building and wiring control panels
- Ability to read electrical schematics/ladder diagrams
- Good verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Highly driven and able to learn quickly
- Ability to represent the company professionally with customers and suppliers
This position is full time. There will be a 90 day probationary period. Excellent attendance is a must and candidate must be a self-starter. Hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with ½ hour for lunch.
