JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Hand solder SMT components under a stereo microscope.
  • Perform a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Determine methods and sequences of assembly operations where complete information is not readily available.
  • Works from schematics diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, which include harnessing and mechanical components.
  • Use of hand tools, power tools, calibration tools and test equipment.
  • Performs continuity checks and conducts quality inspections on work in process and completed work.
  • Perform quality tasks by visual observation, bill of materials and assembly drawings.
  • Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental/prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Maintain board and parts inventory accuracy.
  • Other work as directed and all tasks incidental to the successful performance of this position.
Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in applying engineering services to engagement system, components and assemblies. This experience includes developing and testing solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance, and assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data.
  • Three (3) years of experience in assembly, preferred.
  • Two (2) years of SMT Hand Soldering.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
  • Ability to work is on site, 5 days a week.
Work is 100% on-site. REQUIRED CLEARANCE:
  • Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level or higher.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
