Job Description:
Our client is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their growing industry.In this role you will serve as the local expert on the equipment within your area of assignment and must either have demonstrated capability unique to the equipment or be capable of quickly assimilating new information to become expert in a relatively short period.You will also provide electrical support to the Production and Maintenance departments by potentially training and mentoring hourly personnel on preventative electrical maintenance, completing and programing PLCs (G.E., Allen Bradley, and so on,) ability a plus, assist with the configuration and perform troubleshooting and maintenance of the plant electronic and electrical components, electrical distribution and computer systems driving the electrical and control portion of the operation.Hands-on repairing, troubleshooting, installing electrical components, and modifying existing electrical components to code and working order.Primary responsibilities:- Must comply with any company, state and governmental environmental, health, and safety regulations always- Mentor and lead electrical/electronic skills development for the other craft personnel and subcontractors- Develop system-specific training materials and use those materials to conduct formalized training and experiential learning in the field if needed- Manage electrical work orders and coordinate with electrical and maintenance job contractors, where applicable, be prepared to extend this training to other areas within the facility or the company- Install and configure electronic, electrical distribution, and computer systems- Perform daily/weekly/monthly/annual inspections and calibrations as needed for process control equipment and environmental compliance equipment- Champion a high-performance maintenance philosophy and assists in implementing the maintenance strategic plan to ensure cost-effective asset management, long term equipment viability, and ongoing improvement of the maintenance systems and organization (PM)- Provide highly developed, technical assistance to other craftspeople and other plant personnel during both planned and unplanned equipment service interruptions- Maintain, support, and document computer and network hardware and software applications and operating systems- Troubleshoot electronic, electronic equipment controls, electrical distribution systems, and computer hardware and software- Repair/replace defective components and devices in these systems as needed- Maintain a working understanding of current technologies that have the potential to improve the equipment or areas supported and provide input to project planning targeted at equipment improvement- Drive the preventative and predictive maintenance systems to ensure that the defined activities are enough to identify potential sources of failure before failures occur- Assist with the installation, upgrading, and general maintenance of production systems hardware and software work on major repair jobs, new installation jobs, and modifications to plant machinery and equipmentShift work: 1st shift standard 8 - 5 Monday - Friday. On-call as needed, overtime is available.$24-31/hr. DOE plus overtime.
