Electrical Technician

Our client is looking for safety-minded technicians who believe in creating technology that keeps employees safe, no matter the work conditions. You will be part of the test and operations team to confirm the electrical systems are working as they should of the product before the customer uses them in the field. You will use your electrical/electronic/mechanical knowledge to help set up, test, operate, and possibly repair the equipment before sending it out to the customers. You should be a strong electrical technician capable of being a Swiss army knife , being able to deploy skills like electrical, electronics, and basic mechanical systems. However, the main focus of this role is electrical knowledge, mainly in the 24V - 600V range. Experience in PLCs is a plus, but it is not required. You will work as part of the team, helping the assembly operations understand what may be causing the technology not to operate as it should. Normally, the issues they trace are bad wiring connections, soldering, or incorrect setup using the electrical diagrams. Considering your team, you should be in a position to be a good communicator to help spot-check and talk through some of the issues you see. Although you are not in a leadership role with this position, you will become of subject matter expert, and the other teammates will look to you for guidance. Lastly, you should be a what else person. Meaning, you are looking to help the operations in other areas outside of just your experience or skill. Monday-Friday, 10-hour day shift with most Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays off. Depending on production schedule or seasonal need, you may work a 1/2 Friday here and there, but for the most part, you have a 3-day weekend most of the year.
