Job Description
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components, including wiring, fixtures, and appliances.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications to determine wiring layouts and installation procedures.
- Test electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Replace or repair faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards in all work activities.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on construction projects to ensure proper coordination of electrical work.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other maintenance staff or apprentices.
- Keep abreast of developments in electrical technology, codes, and standards.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and electrical hazards.
- Respond to emergency calls and service requests to address electrical issues promptly.
- Estimate material and labor costs for electrical projects and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members to ensure timely completion
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education; completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training in electrical work.
- Journeyman electrician license or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience as an electrical technician or electrician, with knowledge of electrical systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, such as multimeters, wire strippers, and conduit benders.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, lifting, and climbing.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing electrical work.
- Customer service orientation and professionalism.

- Continuous standing, squatting, bending, pulling, and lifting throughout the workday
- Lifting of 50 lbs. or less

- Shift work, days, Monday through Friday, and some Saturday's and Sunday's
