Job Description Summary
How would you like to join our team as an electrical technician and help develop systems for testing products that support military and commercial aircraft and ground vehicles? As a member of our Test Engineering unit, you will join a diverse and cross-functional group of professionals that are responsible for all aspects of test systems development including mechanical, electrical, software and fabrication. With our team, you will have the opportunity to utilize and develop your skills in a fast paced and exiting environment for a broad range of test systems from simple circuit card testers to very large and complex systems integration labs.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Technician to add to our team. This is an exciting opportunity to develop test systems to support products for some of the world's most advanced military and commercial aircraft and ground vehicles.
You will make impacts in the following ways:
* Work in an Engineering Development Lab supporting the development of test equipment for testing products in both our commercial and military business areas.
* Perform electronics testing and troubleshoot; prototype circuit board development and fabrication; test equipment build, integration and test; ordering and tracking of material; maintaining lab organization; test equipment maintenance; lab safety advocate; etc.
* Based on workload, activities could include support of other Engineering Labs such as EMI, Systems Integration and Ground Vehicle facilities.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
* Associate's Degree in Engineering
* Working knowledge of electronic circuits (analog, digital and power) and experience working with a large array of electronic instruments.
* Must have an ability to read electrical schematics and to troubleshoot to the component level.
* Software skills for use of WORD, EXCEL PowerPoint, etc.
* Working knowledge of a large array of electronic instruments and able to perform fabrication of PWBs, test cables/adapters, PWB modifications.
* Strong organizational skills
* Must have availability to work overtime as needed and work productively with little oversight.
* Possess an ability to learn and work well with others
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
* Electrical Engineering degree
* Experience with development, test and maintenance of equipment for testing avionics
* Detailed knowledge of various types of circuits and communication busses (e.g. 1553, RS-232)
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $55500 - $88800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
