Our ideal candidate has at least a master's degree in engineering with a focus on electrical engineering, or a relevant field. You also need superb problem-solving and communication skills.Job ResponsibilitiesTest setup creation including instrumentation and electrical/mechanical assembliesPower module (IGBT + Diode) double pulse and short circuit testingRoot cause analysis of power electronic components and systemsBasic electrical wiring changes, electrical test fixture creationCompiling and organizing technical data and prepare reports on project assignmentsDesigns electrical systems by developing and testing componentsEvaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs and applying knowledge of electricity and materialsConfirms systems and components capabilities by designing testing methodsDevelops electrical products by studying customer requirements and researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materialsDevelops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components and by soliciting observations from operatorsAssures product quality by designing electrical testing methods and testing finished products and system capabilitiesPrepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trendsDevelop and continuously improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, and improve qualityDrive continuous improvement, lean, six sigma methodologiesEvaluate production equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for repairs or replacementKeeps equipment operational by following manufacturer s instructions and established proceduresMaintains product database by writing computer programs and entering dataCompletes projects by training and guiding techniciansBackground & SkillsBachelor s or Master s degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation mechanical, mechatronics, robotics, controls engineering.Experience in using test equipment, e.g. oscilloscopes, function generators & data acquisition systemsPLC operation and LabView experience (seen as beneficial)Proficient electrical and electronics knowledgeUnderstanding of electrical and electronic diagrams, one-lines and schematicsFamiliarity with AC drives and power electronics (IGBT's, diodes, Mosfets), medium voltage knowledge is an assetProgramming skills like Python, MATLAB, SQL is highly desiredKnowledge on electrical safety standardsMust be able to function well in a team or group environment.Knowledge of MS office tools, e.g. Outlook, Excel and WordEmployee BenefitsWe are excited to offer you the following benefits with your employment:Bonus systemPaid vacationPersonal insuranceCommunication packageOpportunity to join Employee Resource GroupsEmployee Referral ProgramThis list does not promise or guarantee any particular benefit or specific action.
