Job Description:

Role and Responsibilities

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with aerospace industry test standards. Your primary duties will include:

+ Test Plans and Procedures: Write detailed test plans and procedures in accordance with RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.

+ Support Equipment Definition: Define and specify necessary support equipment for tests, including wiring harnesses, electrical interfaces, vibration fixtures, and instrumentation.

+ Test Planning and Execution: Plan, conduct, and evaluate tests to ensure compliance with required standards.

+ Data Management: Collect and analyze data methodically to present findings to customers and management.

+ Communication: Regularly update Engineering Managers and Program Managers on testing status.

+ Coordination: Coordinate test witnessing and schedules with customers and test facilities.

+ Supervision: Supervise outside laboratory tests as necessary.

+ Reporting: Write comprehensive test reports summarizing test results and compliance.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

+ Education: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.

+ Experience: Minimum of three years of related experience in aerospace testing.

Physical Requirements

+ Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

+ Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

+ Must be able to traverse production facility.
