Electrical Wiring Technician. • Hands on support at automotive facilities in Michigan. Focusing on building new/prototype and modifying existing vehicle wiring. • Previous experience working on a full range of automotive wiring types – Power, signal, CAN, high speed data cabling, etc. • History reading wiring drawings to accurately produce new harnesses or update existing wiring assemblies to match a new drawing • Ability to recommend improvements to Electrical Engineers based on prototype builds to ultimately produce a more robust/cheaper/ better product. • Skills to diagnose unknown wiring issues on vehicles that have failed electrical bring-up within a factory environment • Manage extensive inventory of on hand components and tools, keeping a record of components that need to be restocked. • Occasional travel to other US locations to support physical wiring building/repairing at other Waymo or partner facilities.
