Job DescriptionThis intermediate position provides and maintains the physical accommodations for the Church. The expectation is to provide preventative and corrective maintenance, and construction for these facilities, to portray an image of dignity, integrity, and respectability with a justifiable standard of time, quality, and cost. Performs all phases of general construction, in electrical. Duties and tasks reflect variety and some complexity. Duties and tasks are frequently non routine. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels.ResponsibilitiesReceives and completes work orders from supervisor and assists in determining schedules and completion dates for specific jobs. Works materials used in area of specialization. Estimate materials needed for a specific job or project. Uses, maintains and repairs hand tools, portable machines, general construction and shop equipment. Installs and repairs. Adheres to recognized craft methods and procedures to assure quality standard construction. Reads and works from blueprints and specifications knowing building codes. Selects materials and tools to be used.. Performs follow-up to assure completeness and quality of finished job. Assists in training a upgrading of personnel within the group.QualificationsTypically has two-four years of experience in position or specialization as some schooling or training associated with area of specialty. Applies some advanced skills to the position or specialization (electrical). May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Works under minimal supervision.
