JOB SUMMARY Conduct, maintain, test and repair electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. Ensure that work is performed in accordance with relevant codes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Understanding of instrumentation, control systems, PLCs and low voltage electrical systems.2. Ability to install instrumentation including mounting hardware and sensing lines, pulling and termination of I/O cables, configuration, calibration, and basic PLC programming.3. Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical, chemical, and controls system drawings.4. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and chemical systems and their interface with system controls and instrumentation.5. Must be able to respond quickly to potentially critical situations, perform rapid and accurate situational assessments, and troubleshoot system components. Identify causes of failures, determine appropriate corrective actions, and implement these corrections promptly to mitigate the effects of system upsets.6. Review recommended maintenance procedures to ensure best practices are in place and documented properly.7. Analyze data trends to ensure system stability and reliability.8. Provide technical support for a 24 hour operations team.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES 1. Comply with local, state and federal regulations2. Follow and reinforce company policies and procedures 3. Ability to support initiatives around ESH, system reliability, and cost reduction.4. Must be team oriented and highly collaborative, possess effective oral and written communication skills, and be extremely reliable and dependable.5. Must be able to effectively interface with various engineering disciplines, technicians, contractors, and management.6. Ability to create and follow detailed procedures for routine and non-routine work.7. Ability to follow facility specified Safety and Reliability processes.8. Computer/software skills - Outlook, Excel, Word, SCADA, CMMS9. Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing (bilingual preferred, Spanish)10. Must possess the ability to travel to various job sites EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES 1. Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Higher education and certifications will be weighted accordingly. 2. 2 years minimum in a field as a technician (low voltage, under 600V experience is a must)3. Ability to read, understand, and update mechanical, electrical, chemical, and controls system drawings4. Understanding of water distribution systems, exhaust systems (balancing, measuring), pumps, and piping installation methods5. Willingness to handle call-in situations after hoursWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Talking, Hearing, Seeing 2. Standing, Sitting, Walking, Fingering, Stooping, Crouching, Grasping, and Lifting up to 50lbs unassisted3. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside and out4. The worker is subject to noisy plant environment.5. The worker may be subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibrating equipment, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids.6. The worker is occasionally required to work in close quarters, crawl space, shafts, manholes, small, enclosed rooms, small sewage and water line pipes, and other areas which could cause claustrophobia. 7.
