Job Summary: Electrician is responsible for the diagnostics, troubleshooting, testing, installing and repairing of equipment, parts, and systems in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for maintaining extruders, boilers, presses, mills, and the overall care of the plant. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Maintain machines and plant equipment including but not limited to extruders, presses, mills, boilers, fans, and motors. Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, maintenance instructions and procedures. Strong knowledge of Electrical Codes, OSHA and standard industry safety rules and regulations. Perform preventative maintenance Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replace defective parts. Move equipment and machinery. Monitor boiler operation and perform adjustments as needed. Maintain consistent communication with production personnel in regard to changes and repairs. Preform other duties as assigned. Essential Functions: Ability to maintain work area cleanliness and general housekeeping. Ability to read, write, and follow directions in regard to SOP's, management instructions, and other job-related instructions. Basic communication skills required. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times. Ability to self-manage, prioritize, multi-task and work under deadlines. Ability to perform manual tasks under varying temperatures conditions in usually an indoor manufacturing environment. Ability to transport and deliver a wide variety of tools, equipment, and materials. Ability to work with a variety of equipment including but not limited to forklifts, man lifts, computers, grinders, welders cutting torch, drills, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and assemble parts as needed Ability to meet the physical demands of the position Semi-moderate to moderate physical activity. Including but not limited to sitting, standing, hand/arm manipulation, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, seeing, touching/feeling, hearing, and crouching. Ability to lift up to 100lbs. Education, Experience, and Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Two years of relevant experience and or/ training that includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and mechanical equipment, HVAC maintenance, or equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Technical degree preferred Ability to pass standardized maintenance aptitude test Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen
